The Model Trading Post has been an Authorized Breyer® Model Horse Dealer since 1991. We have great prices on all of our items, and most items are at least 25% off of suggested retail. We have a large inventory of new in the box models at all times, including Porcelain horses, Traditional sized, Classic sized, Stablemates, and Wildlife. We also have a large inventory of consignment models.
Important information on Virtual Breyer Sales

IMPORTANT information on shipping, please read before ordering.
The shipping calculator does not account for the size of a box, which might result in higher shipping charges than quoted. Oversize is anything bigger than 12 x 12 x 12, which basically amounts to anything that is larger than two traditional models. The further you are from Michigan, the more it will cost you. If your box is oversized, you will receive a Paypal invoice for the balance due if you were not charged enough when you placed the order, which can be paid for with Paypal or a credit card. The amount must be paid before your order ships, or you can cancel your order. There is no way for the shipping calculator to calculate an oversized box. You pay what it actually costs for shipping, plus insurance if the models total more than $100. By the same token, if the shipping calculator charges you signifcantly more than it costs to ship your order, you would also receive a partial refund. IMPORTANT information on the 2023 models.
We are now taking orders for the 2023 models. MANY of them are now in stock.
Due to supply chain issues that we have been experiencing for the past couple of years, we cannot guarantee that new for 2023 models will arrive as expected. Rather than take total payment up front, we are taking deposits on all new for 2023 models to be more fair to our customers. The items that are not in stock will still have "Preorder DEPOSIT" in the item name. Once the item(s) on your order are in stock, you will receive a paypal invoice for the balance due. The balance can be paid with a credit card, or a paypal balance. Orders are filled in the order they are received. Once items are in stock, we will no longer take deposits, models will be sold at full price. Please note that any deposits are NONREFUNDABLE but can be applied to anything on this site. No exceptions. Please click on the picture of the model to be taken to a description of the model so that you know if what you are paying is a deposit and when the model is expected to be in stock, as awell as what the MAAP price will be.
We are also taking preorders for the 2023 Christmas merchandise. Please click on the "Image coming soon" to go to the item description where it will tell you the MAAP price of the items. What you are paying is a DEPOSIT ONLY which is nonrefundable, but can be applied to other merchandise on the website should you want to cancel your order. 2023 Christmas items cannot be combined with any other merchandise, as they will not be in stock until September or October 2023 and will ship separately.
We are also taking preorders for the 2023 Halloween Horse, Spectre. MAAP will be $ 64.99, the $20 deposit is nonrefundable, but can be applied to any merchanise on the website should you change your mind. The Halloween Spectre cannot be combined with any other merchandise, as they will not be in stock until September or October 2023 and will ship separately. It CAN be combined with Christmas merchandise. We have a limited quantity of these models on order, they will be sold on a first come first served basis.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING BREYER MODELS ON THIS SITE
Please be sure to click on the model picture to go to the description of the item. This will tell you if the model is in stock, or when it is expected to be in stock. This will also tell you the MAAP price on those models that are new for 2023 that would be deposit payments, so you would know what the price would be once the model comes in. For consignment/used models, there will be a description of the model and any flaws it might have.
Consignment Breyer® Model Horses
The Model Trading Post also has a fast growing inventory of consignment Breyer® model horses, as well as the occasional Peter Stone model horse or Hagen-Renaker figurines. Collectors send their models to us and we evaluate their condition, take pictures, and list them on our website for a nominal fee. We get new items in each month, so be sure to keep checking back with us! If you are interested in selling your models on a consignment basis, we are happy to send you information on how it all works.
